Ugg Boots - Their Origins

This very fashionable must have item of foot wear originally comes from Australia. A large number of people, especially Americans believe that this item of footwear is a passing fad, yet these boots have actually been around for many years.

But how come this boot has become so popular so quickly in America and how did this boot actually make it to the USA? Finally, what is it that set the Ugg Boot apart from the many other stylish boots that are available.

You will find that many people have decided that the Ugg Boot is the coolest boots to wear, whilst others are impressed with the craftsmanship of these boots. Although the Ugg Boot is more than what is stated before, these boots are made to such a high quality and standard, which sets them apart from the many other stylish boots in retail outlets today.

Ugg Boots were brought in to the USA back in 1978 by an Australian named Brian Smith who made the decision to see if this unique but highly crafted boot would make it in the USA. However, it was a big gamble as Brian Smith was unsure that because of its quirky design the Americans would not take to it. This gamble certainly paid off, especially in California and certainly the Californian surfers were the first ones to fall in love with these boots.

Since the first pair of boots appeared in the US sales of them have skyrocketed and they are now well loved and highly sought after through out the US, plus across the globe as well.

So what is it about the Ugg Boot has made it such a hot commodity across the world. Could it be because of their durability and the quality of workmanship that has gone into making them. Maybe its the uniqueness of the cute design of these boots that has made them such a hot fashion item.

Could it be the simplicity of the designs with the boot being lined with sheepskin that has made them a favourite. Not only does the Ugg Boot offer the wearer a great level of comfort and softness but they also keep your feet warm as well. What is one of the parts of your body that feels the cold when you are outside and temperatures are low, feet of course.

Throughout many years, there have been many different manufacturers producing these boots and you will find there have been many knocks offs and spins offs made of these boots as well. But it should be remembered that typically an Ugg Boot is a boot lined with sheepskin and certainly comes in a variety of styles and colours and there is certainly a pair of Ugg Boots out there just for you.
