The best way to make sure they are genuine is to buy them from reputable outlets and from reputable online stores. Try to avoid online auctions unless you are sure of authenticity.

hiya, great site, picked up my first ever pair of emu boots today from a local tx maxx store, (These sell designer products at discount prices) and look forward to many hours of comfort. One question that always bothers me is how can you tell if it is the genuine artical. the labels say emu, the little keyring thing says emu, the soles are chunky and emu is there althought the tred does not spell out emu (i have seen emu on the bottom of others). Still, they are well made and very comfortable.
