As you know from this site we love Ugg boots. However we recently bought a pair of Emu boots so that I could do a comparrison between them and my ugg boots. The first difference is obviously that Ugg is a much more well know Brand name so after that I was suprised to say that emu boots had the edge and were better overall.
To make it easy for you to choose here is what we found.
Desireablilty - Ugg win this due to be more well known however more and more celebrities have been seen wearing Emu boots and they have recently featured in a number magazines.
Authenticity: Emu boots are made in Australia and Uggs are made in China so this must go to Emu.
Wool: Emu use 100% merino woll Ugg use a blend of Wools So another win for emu
Ugg Classic Tall
Price. Emu win this by a mile Emu boots are often half the price of Ugg boots
Looks.. well you decide we think there is nothing to choose between them.
Colors: Both boots come in the standard, sand, black, chestnut and brown . However Emu australia also list Grey orange and pink
There are other slight differences such as the Emu's have a double density sole. That aside we can't help but conclude that if you are considering a pair of sheepskin boots this season and you aren't a lable junkie then why not try the Emu Australia bronte Hi boots rather than the Ugg classic Tall boots. The money you'll save (which can be as much as $100) will more than make up for the lack of an UGG Badge.
It's only 10 months since the took UGG lovers by storm, On it's release in November last year it only took a couple of weeks to sell out completly. In the past 3 weeks we've seen a dramatic increase in enguiries and searches and once again many retailers have sold out. It seems that many buyers have ensured that they don't miss out this year.
As with last year It seems that your best hope for finding a pair will be with eBay. Although retailers have plenty of time to get more stocks in the shops before christmas, if they are available. Last year we saw pairs sell on eBay for upwards of $400 so it may be an idea to get in early this year before the laws of supply and demand kick in.

As many people, not just women have decided to go out and get a pair of this latest hot fashion item, what you need to remember is the care you will need to give them to keep them looking as good as the day that you brought them.
A good point to remember to ensure that you keep them looking as good as the day you took them out of the box is not to wear them when the weather is wet or if it has snowed. These boots were only designed for cold weather and they certainly aren't as robust as a pair of Wellingtons when it rains.
However, if you find that your boots have got dirty then by following the points below you should be able to get them looking as good as when you brought them.
