It is hard to believe but an item of footwear that was originally designed to be worn by farmers in Australia has now become the hottest fashion footwear in the last couple of years. The explosion of women wanting these boots has happened due to the number of celebrities who are seen wearing these.
Another reason as to why more and more women are looking to purchase a pair of these boots is their versatility. I mean not only do you have to wear them with jeans, but you could also dress them up by wear them with a short skirt and some opaque tights.
Although you will find that the boot is still manufactured by a number of companies in Australia the actual trademark name of Ugg® Australia is held by an American Company. This has resulted in a large number of Australian companies renaming their product as Sheepskin Boots rather than as Ugg®, but they are actually the same as they still use the same materials. Remember a good quality pair of Ugg® or Sheepskin boots are made from Australian Merino Sheepskin.
But it does not matter whether you call them Ugg® or Sheepskin boots as both styles are incredibly warm and soft and during cold weather are the ideal things to put your feet in.
So you are looking to purchasing a pair and now you have a number of decisions to make:
Height of boot  they come in short, medium and full length. But a short pair would probably go better with a pair of jeans, and the medium and full length can be matched up with a skirt and tights.
Colours  The colour range is so vast that the choice is yours. You could go for the more neutral colours say brown, black or sand or if you want to be a bit more daring then you might choose pink, purple, lilac or even red. However, for men the choice is limited they only come in more neutral colours.
There are also many different designs to choose from. You could go for a pair that has a chunky heel with laces or zips on them or you could just opt for a flat heeled pair that are easy to slip on.
So when is the best time for wearing your boots. Probably when the weather is cold because the sheepskin will help to keep your feet warm. However, it is advised that you should not wear them when it is excessively wet or in muddy conditions.
